Copley Debates.com FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Category: Main -> Setting up a debate
| Answer | | · How do I set up a debate? Before you can set up a debate, you must find two other members to make up your
team. Each team must have two debaters and one moderator and all three must
be registered members. As a reminder all memberships are free. Once you have your
team formed, follow the steps below to setup the debate.
- Decide on a name for your team and scefics such as the topic of debate and how often debate questions are posted.
- Write two descriptions for your team. One should be less than 100
characters and the second less than 1000 characters.
- The debate moderator will need to fill out the Create Debate form in the Create a New Debate section and forward the debate ID and password to the debaters.
- Each debater will then need to complete the Pending Acceptance form in the Create a New Debate section.

- Once both debaters have accepted, the moderator will then need to publish the debate using the Pending Completion form.
