·  How do I add a question?

Adding a question is simple and easy thanks to the online interface designed especially for Copleydebates.com.  All you need to do is follow the steps listed below.

  • Click on the Debates link in the Users Section.

  • Choose Create New Item link listed under the debate.

  • Fill in all items in the debate form using the following guidelines:
  1. Title: A brief title explaining what the question is about.
  2. Link: This field is optional and should contain the full address including the "http://".
  3. Choose rather the debaters will be allowed to respond to each others answers.
  4. Question: The full debate question or topic description to be debated.
  5. Completion Date-Time: This will reflect the deadline the debaters have to complete their responses for the question.

  • Once completed click on the Create Question button.

·  How can I change the information for a question once I've submitted it?

At this time once a question is submitted the content can't be changed. This is to ensure fairness between the moderator and the debaters. We are working on a way to allow the moderator to change the information while making sure the debaters are given sufficient time to change the information they have entered.

·  How long should I give the debaters to enter a response?

The time given for a response to debate questions should be decided upon by the moderator and debaters when the debate is created.

·  How do I view questions that have not been published?

You can view the questions/items that are open and have not been published by clicking on the "Open Item" link under the debate in the My Debates Section. This will give you a list of items that have not been closed/published. You may view the status of the question by clicking on it.

·  One of my debaters is not responding to my emails. What do I do?

If a debater is not responding to your emails and is not actively responding to the debate questions, please contact us from the Feedback form. We will attempt to contact the debater and make the descion rather to remove them from the debate.

·  One of my debers is not being honest and entering false information.

The purpose of Copleydebates.com is to provide the public with good quality debates. If you find that one of your debaters is not maintaining these standards please contact us via the Feedback Form and we will work to resolve the problem or allow a new debater to be added.
